Asters (MWN)
Prints Available
Oil painting on canvas, 16x20"
Just as summer begins to fade, New England asters burst into clouds of light violet blossoms, offering one last feast for migrating monarchs and late-season bees. These native wildflowers bring life and color to meadows when it is needed most, symbolizing patience, wisdom, and the quiet promise that every season has its own beauty.
My Monochromatic paintings are a true celebration of color, transience, and presence. Each one is an offering; to get lost in the richness and depth of hue. When we bring color into our homes we are provided with all of their therapeutic properties and an escape from the mundane and gray. Let these paintings be a resting place and an often much needed reconnection to beauty and the color the Earth provides us.

About the Mission
I work as sustainably as I can and choose oil paint as my medium in part due to it's being derived from nature. (I also simply love painting in oil!) I avoid toxic pigments when ever possible and prioritize naturally occurring ones over chemically made. I also opt for sustainable packaging whenever possible. As I grow my business I will continue to choose earth friendly practices and options.
