Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wild Seasons Studio.
I’m Jeska of the Earth. I’m an artist, mother and nature enthusiast. I believe in a life of reciprocity with the Earth and embracing a slower, handmade way of living.
This space is both a look into my creative world and an open invitation to my kindred spirits. It is my mission to help others deepen their own connection to the land through fine art, reflective prose and creative experiences. Here, art and creativity become a way of listening: to the earth, to color, and to the seasons moving through us.
About the Art:
My work is grounded in the landscapes, flora, and open spaces of the Midwest; especially the native plants and prairies that once covered much of this region. I paint to honor them and to help others see their understated beauty.
I work primarily in oil, drawn to the way it allows color and brushstroke to intertwine. Color is central to my process. I especially love earth tones, soft neutrals, and muted jewel tones: palettes that mirror those of the natural world. My brushwork is loose and painterly, guided more by intuition and feeling than by precision. What I seek to capture most is both presence and memory. That still, grounding awareness that comes from standing among tall grasses, or watching light shift and settle across a field.
Ultimately, I paint not just to capture nature, but to participate in it. to translate stillness, movement and steady resilience into something we can live with every day. My paintings are created for intimate spaces. For homes, studios, and places of rest, where art can become a daily, soothing source of inspiration.
About the Artist
I grew up in rural northeast Ohio and have lived in a handful of places since: upstate New York, Chicago, Virginia, and southern Ohio. Living in Chicago, left a lasting impression on my work; not because I found inspiration there, but because I deeply missed nature. That longing still shapes what I paint: a return to open spaces, natural textures, and quiet moments.
Although I studied fine art and art education, I'm a self-taught oil painter. I currently I work out of my home studio which allows me the flexibility to create whenever inspiration strikes and to balance my life as a mother. I paint in collections but give myself room to explore and shift within each body of work. It’s a fluid, intuitive process that allows me to explore the power of color, emotion, and intentional stillness.
My home life is full of the same things I value in my work: time outdoors, gardening, hiking, cooking, reading, and meditation. I believe in a world where we surround ourselves with handmade things, where mass-produced goods aren't the norm, and where nature is something we connect with daily. While I can’t live in that world completely, I create art that helps me shape it in my own way and offers quiet inspiration for others.
About Wild Seasons Studio
Wild Seasons Studio began as a natural extension of my creative practice. I wanted a space where I could gather everything I love under one name: art, nature, reflection, and the handmade. It’s a brand, yes, but more than that it’s an expression of what I believe in.
Here, I share original oil paintings, limited-edition prints, and written reflections meant to deepen our connection to the earth. In time, Wild Seasons will also grow to include workshops, retreats, and thoughtfully designed goods. Everything will be created to nurture a slower, more mindful way of living and creating.
This studio is my way of offering what I’ve learned: that beauty, meaning, and connection are all around us, waiting to be noticed. My hope is that Wild Seasons Studio becomes a place of belonging for anyone longing to live more intentionally, more creatively, and more in tune with the natural world.
If you feel you are a kindred spirit, I invite you to subscribe the Wild Seasons Journal.
