Of Meadows and Memories
Original oil painting on canvas, 20x24"
Of Meadows and Memories captures the essence of peaceful moments spent immersed in nature. The intertwining blades, dancing in the breeze, evoke feelings of nostalgia and grounding, reminding us of the simple pleasures found in the natural world.
This painting was inspired by a local Park in North East Ohio: Bradley Woods. It is small path through fields and forest complete with a large pond inhabited by countless species of wildlife: frogs, geese, turtles and birds of all sizes.
This particular scene was created from a visit on a sun-drenched day in late summer. I have chosen to focus in on the entangled grass that danced in the wind adorned by sunlight. It is these tall wild grasses full of movement that often catch my attention and beg to be immortalized in paint.
Medium: Oil on gallery-wrapped canvas
Dimensions: 20x24 inches
Framing: Framed in a modern Natural Maple floater frame
Finish: Varnished for protection and depth of color
Signature: Signed, titled on the back
Each original painting is accompanied by a note, sharing the inspiration behind the piece.

About the Collection
The Artwork in this collection is intended to evoke peaceful memories, both yours and mine. While walking through meadows, beautiful grass weaves and tangles and tickles our legs as we move through it. There is almost constant movement and yet calm stillness and a sense of grounding.
About the Mission
The tall wild grasses of our prairies and meadows play an important role in the health of the planet. I hope to pay tribute to them with my work and encourage others to appreciate them and encourage their growth.
I work as sustainably as I can and choose oil paint as my medium in part due to it's being derived from nature. (I also simply love painting in oil!) I avoid toxic pigments when ever possible and prioritize naturally occurring ones over chemically made. I also opt for sustainable packaging whenever possible. As I grow my business I will continue to choose earth friendly practices and options.
