New Year Wishes
This past year asked for patience. But even more so for hope. For trust in the future, despite the present. For the kind of showing up that happens even when progress feels slow or imperceptible. It reminds me that meaningful work creative or otherwise, is rarely loud. It grows quietly, by repetition, care, and time.
For me, the new year arrives softly, even when the world insists it should be loud and feel like momentum. Rather, there is an subtle shift between what has been and what has not yet taken shape. A moment, blurred and unfinished, where clarity hasn’t arrived and somehow that feels exactly right, not matter how much I wish for clarity.
As this next year begins, I’m holding onto wishes instead of declarations or resolutions. To move in rhythm with the seasons rather than against them. To make work that feels alive and untamed. To allow rest to exist beside effort, not trail behind it. To trust that nurturing what matters, day by day, will be enough.
If you’re entering this year with questions instead of answers, you are not behind. You are listening. Winter teaches us that not everything is meant to bloom at once. Winter is dream season! Let your dreams marinate.
My wish for you is a year of steadiness and beauty. Of warmth where you need it, light when you’re ready for it, and the true confidence that comes from honoring your own pace.
